Miss Maddie is from New York City and moved to Madison in 2022. She began her dance training when she was just three years old at Downtown Dance Factory, her home dance studio. She trained in all styles of dance, but as she grew was especially drawn to hip hop, jazz, and contemporary. After high school, Miss Maddie moved to Wisconsin, where she is currently a full-time student at UW-Madison. She has continued her dance training, dancing for the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2023-2024 season. Additionally, she performed with Barrio Dance Factory, where she and the rest of the hip hop company were named World of Dance 2024 Champions.
Miss Maddie began teaching in 2019 and truly believes that students shine the brightest when they’re challenged. She strives to push her students to reach their full potential while ensuring that they feel supported and comfortable in class. Remembering how she admired her own dance teachers as a young dancer, she feels inspired to be that role model for her students, helping them uncover their own passion for dance. It brings her joy to watch them as they discover that special spark.
