Gisela Baldwin
Dance Team Coordinator, Office Assistant and Instructor
Miss Gisela grew up in Racine, WI and began dancing at the age of five. Until high school, she trained under the direction of Danelle Davies and participated in the competitive program that was offered at the studio. She took classes in ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical and truly developed a love for dance. Gisela later transferred in order to exclusively train in ballet and had the privilege to learn from former Milwaukee Ballet dancers, Linda Bennett and Marc Darling. Gisela, as she makes sure everyone knows, VERY proudly attended the University of Iowa, majored in Dance, and received a Certificate in Business Entrepreneurship. Upon graduation, she joined Madison Contemporary Vision Dance and was fortunate enough to begin teaching at A Leap Above Dance. She is Progressing Ballet Technique certified and was a company member at Kanopy Dance for a couple of years. Gisela is a full-time employee at A Leap Above Dance, serving as the Dance Team Coordinator, Office Assistant, and Teacher. Miss Gisela’s goal is to teach her students that anything can be achieved through hard work and passion. She ultimately hopes to teach beyond the technique and strives to inspire her students to use this hard work and passion as a means of true expression through dance. Favorite things: reading, ice cream, football (Packers and Hawkeyes), Disney (specifically Aladdin) You can contact Gisela at [email protected]
