  • Recital

We will have an end of the year recital in June. There is no obligation to participate, however, students do look forward to demonstrating their accomplishments for family and friends. This experience is an important part of the dance experience and helps with the development of poise and self-esteem. The recital is a privilege; students with bad behavior and/or poor attendance may not be allowed to perform. Each dance class will need a costume for the recital. Every effect is made to find beautiful costumes at lower prices, so that all the students can participate in the recital. Students will also be required to have proper shoes and tights to participate in the recital.

  • Cancellations

Call us or check our website or Facebook page for updates on class cancellation due to weather. In the case of cancellation due to weather, the class cannot be refunded; however, students can attend a make-up class. In the case of cancellation by an instructor, a make-up class will be scheduled.

  • Make-Up Classes

If a student misses class, they can attend another class that is similar for a make-up class within the same session. As it gets closer to recital time, it may be harder to make-up classes as students will be practicing their routines.

  • Dancer’s Information Board and E-mails

There is a bulletin board in the waiting room designated for information for dancers and parents. A Leap Above Dance will also send a few e-mail updates throughout the year. Parents and dancers are responsible for periodically checking the bulletin board and e-mails for new information, especially near recital time.
