Sarah Jicha
Instructor
Miss Sarah is from Oregon, WI and received her primary training right here at A Leap Above Dance! Growing up, she trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and modern and was a competitive dancer as well. Following her high school education, she continued her dance journey with the UW-Whitewater Dance Company, where she held the positions of Treasurer and Vice President.
Miss Sarah draws inspiration from the staff at ALAD. She values and appreciates their support and the positive, encouraging, and structured guidance they provided her in her dance education. She is now teaching because she enjoys spreading her passion for dance with others. Her goal is to help dancers learn about the world of dance while also helping them grow as individuals. She believes that all dancers are strong and deserve to learn and grow in a supportive, caring, adaptive, structured, and creative environment.
In addition to Miss Sarah’s dance experience, she is also an elementary school teacher. She enjoys helping students reach their academic goals. She continues to support students to grow in the classroom and in the dance studio.
Fun facts: She has a teddy bear dog named Stella Rose, her favorite place she has traveled is Jamaica, and she danced in The Nutcracker Dream for 14 years!
